Canada and the marijuana Car


Calgary-based Motive Industries Inc. is manufacturing an electric car that will have its body made out of an impact-resistant material produced from impregnated hemp grown in Alberta. According to its creator, as a structural material hemp is the best as it doesn't need much water and it has twice the strength of other plant fibers.

"The compact car, which will hold a driver and up to three passengers, will have a top speed of 90 kilometres per hour and a range of 40 to 160 kilometres before needing to be recharged"

Now, this isn't totally a new idea in 2008 Lotus Cars a British based manufacturer released the Lotus Eco Elise a vehicle whose body was partly made from hemp.
